Traditions, day off, day off, day off, work!!!

Traditions...well it is exactly how it sounds and i cant tell you anymore or i would have to kill you.  just kidding i can tell a bit well we learned some history took a tour and overall it was great intro to disney experience.  Got done with traditions at about 1 on wednesday and did not have to work again until today(sunday)....well with all that spare time what is there to do well simple PARKS.  

Went to the parks wednesday, thursday, and saturday. Worked a bit on my ride counter my best so far is 2 and thats Star tours and Buzz Lightyear also got my hidden mickey count up to 70 only 760ish left to go.  Also i finally got one thing off my bucket list and thats scoring 999999 on buzz lightyear.  I have a picture but i cannot add it yet will do in the next few days though when i get my desktop computer up and running.  Finally we get to today had training for Typhoon lagoon and it was AWESOME meet a bunch of new people learned alot about the waterpark and afterwards went and picked up my costume.  Well until next time everyone it has been fun!!!

CP meetup and Check in day!

Earl of Sandwich Cp meet up was awesome got to meet alot of the Cp's and chill for a bit found some friends to go to halloween horror nights and the disney parks with.  Also discovered a new drink from Downtown Disney Margarita Bar called the RumRunner, its got brandy, rum, and 151 in it so you know its awesome.
5/23 Check in day
Ok check in at casting at 930am get there it was crazy and amazingly efficient but what else would you expect from disney right!  I get my work location tag and im working at Typhoon Lagoon in Merchandise im excited i get to work at a water park its gonna be awesome maybe i can finally learn to scuba dive now.  So after doing the usual check in and things i get my location stuff i have traditions Wednesday at 8am( the first session for Cp's) and then i dont start work training til sunday at 8am at The lagoon, so that mean that Thursday, Friday, and Saturday im going to the parks.  And this today The 23rd of May 2011 is when the bucket list and character list officially starts so make sure to keep checking in for updates see you all later this week....pry wednesday after traditions I will have another post and im soon hoping to do a vlog from the parks.  

Its been a While

Ok so we got here(to florida) last Saturday night bout 10 at night i think.  We do the usual unpack a bit go to bed in hopes of the trailer coming sunday morning and unpackin the rest of our MILLIONS of things then....well alas it did not show up until sunday night so we unpack and do whatever we needed and we finally finish moving.....tuesday afternoon.

May 20th 2011----We decided we wanted to go to some parks before we start the CP and since this was the day of the opening of the newly enhanced Star Tours our first stop was DHS.  70 min wait for Toy story mania which was to be expected then it said a 75 minute wait for Star Tours...it was not 75 minutes maybe more like 30-40.  After that a little car ride over to the magic kingdom and hit up a few rides there which is where i discovered a Ride Counter for a ipad.  This thing is from www.wdwmagic.com and it counts the amount of times you have ridden most rides in the WDW parks, even has the monorails and ferry boats in there.  Since we have not been here long my most rode attractions are Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain both at 2.  New thing on my bucket list is to go on Haunted Manison 100 times while i am here.  Speaking of the Bucket list 2 things.
1. I will be officially starting that and the character list on Monday or whenever i get my blue main gate pass
2. One more addition will be to find EVERY hidden mickey on property well at least the ones in my Ipad app which is 828 different ones.  This app is based off of Steve M. Barrett's Hidden Mickey books and have a list of all the current Hidden mickeys and has an easy to use system to keep track of ones you found, i personally recommend this app to anyone who even has an interest in Hidden Mickeys, oo it is Ipod based so it looks a little blurry on ipads but dont matter still awesome.

Some Muppet Vinyls updates got up to 6 or 7 on series 2 and still lookin for chaser for series 1 also got my first Star Wars series Vinyl Lando so gonna start working on those

Well for right now this is it i wanted to use this post to get back into the bloggin swing of things so i can start doing it often i will have my next post up monday after we check in at Casting and i will be posting some pictures and videos soon so keep checking back.

FastPasses

Ok so its been a while and i have been thinking about something to write about it and finally i found it.....FastPasses.  I was cleaning out my wallet the other day and found some more to add to my collection.  I found Splash Mountain, Mission space, Maelstrom, Rock n Roller Coaster, and Kali River Rapids.  This got me thinking since i dont have alot left to get, Does anyone have any older "extinct" fastpasses such as Haunted Mansion and Muppet Vision(not sure if they actually had Fastpasses here).  If anyone has any extras i would love if somehow i could get them and add them to my book, also does anyone know where i can find a list of all the attractions that have/or had Fastpasses.  Also i found a Complimentary fastpass that we got from Guest Relations when some rides were closed down.  Its awesome il add the picture soon.
Ok also i have a surprise fastpass from Winnie the Pooh that actually gives you a pass for Philharmagic i didnt even know alot of these existed but ya if anyone has any info on fastpasses please comment and let me know.
On another note Just over a month til I move down and then like another week after that i start the job im gettin pumped.  Well everyone il see ya real soon and get ready for alot of updates only a month away.

The single most amazing fireworks ever. Yes its pry cause i love the disney villans and cause i love the haunted mansion and cause i love halloween but stil it is simply amazing the colors and the music its great and a must do for anyone who has never seen it.

Yes i love the muppets they are awesome i dont know why its is this fountain i think its just its muppets and there is a little hidden mickey float on it.

Il have to get some better pictures when i go down for the CP.  This really is a quality breakfast i mean alot of the Disney buffet/character breakfast's are essentially the same except for theme.  I just really like this theme and the food is very very good.

Pins are awesome and i have alot i would say around 500 possibly more.  Pins are an obsession and they are just so unique and there are so many that truly anyone can love pins cause there is a Disney pin for you.  The best are the limited edition ones.
There is a Cheshire cat Lollipop pin, seen below, that is limited edition of 200.  I have 2 so i own 1% of all the Cheshire cat lollipop pins ever made and that is what makes Disney pins amazing.  I cannot wait to get to Disney and pin trade ALLLLLLLLL the time

Fantasia Gardens---Fairway course Miniature Golf

Best Miniature golf EVER.  It is really really hard but its worth it its just so much fun especially if you have ever Golfed on a real golf course!!!!!!!!

Tower of Terror

Just me but i dont like the feeling of rides that Drop you which is why this is scary to me!!!!
Honestly im warming up to it and it is a great ride so il be riding it more often this up coming summer and fall

The Kitchen Sink

Ok now i dont really eat dessert so this was tough.  Honestly i have never had the kitchen sink but i want it.  I am all about the word EPIC and this dessert is EPIC.  While i am down at WDW for my CP i am gonna try this with some friends and it will be awesome.
So as you know today is ST. PATTYS DAY one of the best days of the year.  Started at the bar at 1230 PM and was there til about 8.  Thats what Pattys day is for haha.  Also right now im watching the live Destination Truth, i recorded it.  Its from Ireland and they are looking for the banshee.  I really recommend if you have never watched DT to watch it soon cause it is one of the best shows on t.v.

Favorite Restaurant?
Liberty Tree Tavern

This used to be a character meal not sure if it is right now but it is still my favorite meal next to say T-rex and possibly Garden Grill.  Also Beach club has a great character meal and of course chef mickeys but i dont really eat breakfast so chef mickeys is my once a year breakfast haha.  I really wish Disney would add some more restaurants in inventive places like a Muppets or Pixar restaurant, have the characters there that would be cool.  When i become an Imagineer or creative Director of a park i will add them in.
OK food LTT(liberty tree tavern) has a thanksgiving style meal with mashed potatoes turkey beef anything ya want IT IS AMAZING.

Now this is no normal cache.  Its difficulty rating is way off to say the least but i will say it was a hard and fun cache.  We had looked for it on 2 other occasions and came up empty handed so we decided to go back and well after 30 mins of looking Cameron found it by almost pure luck haha but hey we got it right!!!

Definitely AWESOME.  The ride is great and the ride technology is even better.  Plus Dinosaurs are awesome in general.

Yep dont laugh its dinoland it houses my favorite ride which you will find out tomorrow.  The reason i like it so much is for the dinosaurs and not chester and bloody hester.

Well ok now you see here lies a problem...I have 2......
First Toy Story Midway Mania!

I love Competition to be honest so naturally the ride where you score points to beach the slouch sitting next to you would obviously be at the top of my list.  So actually i cant find the picture but i have had the top score of the hour on this ride....once.  One my bucket list it says score 300000 but to tell u the truth i want 500000.  no no its not impossible its just improbable which for me means it just takes time.  And also i want to have the top of the month too just because it would be AWESOME.

Muppet Vision 3D

Now i know some of you are think hey this attraction is old...its boring and it just is plain bad......WELL YOUR WRONG.  This is the Muppets thats why i love it not cause its scary or cause of any other reason its the Muppets and its the only reason i need.  The muppets are a dying breed and disney needs to bring them back in any way they can, they are starting with a new Muppet movie coming out in the next few years.  The Muppets need more of a presence in the parks though(along with star wars), they are just simply too amazing to let go in my opinion

Favorite Hollywood Studios area?
Pixar Place

I have to say Pixar Place.  This was a very hard decision and i think the reason i picked this area is cause it not only houses one of my favorite rides in all of WDW, but i think because of the potential for the area.  I mean monsters inc coaster incredibles things and much much more.  
O today i went to the disney presentation on my campus it was really cool got to meet all the campus reps and the recruiter now i know some of you might be thinking why would he go if he already has been accepted.  I understand your point but i think be this small it is a good networking tool to START your DCP.  
On a side note got pokemon Black yesterday already have 2 badges and a pokedex of 21 nice haha.

Which is your favorite in Epcot, future world or the worlds?
Future world

Definately future world.  More so because there are more attractions and i like Mousegears.  I just like the feel of it too.  Now im not saying i dont like World Showcase cause WS is pretty cool but i just think that FW has more to offer.  
OOOO ya also just hit 100 views and i think it only took about 4 days so nice Thanks alot everyone.

Favorite Attraction in Adventureland?
Pirates of the Caribbean

Disney Original and not to mention AWESOME
I heard there is a ghost i think by the name of George on this ride but im not sure if its here or DL either way awesome ride and it was the beginning of the amazing movies this ride inspired the movies yes it did kids and dont EVER let anyone say that it didnt if they did tell me where they live and I will kick them in the knee cap.  Jack Sparrow is awesome i will admit.  Reminds me a bit of me actually......crazy, little weird, a leader, has a weird best friend, very unconventional,  ooo and most of all LOVES RUM

Favorite attraction in Frontierland?
Splash Mountain

Details...great detail on this ride.  Alot of fun anyone can ride it and it even has a nice little drop at the end.  The shootin arcade was a close second followed by BTMRR.  
Ok so today i updated My fastpass list to show which ones i currently have.  If anyone can help me out with other attractions that feature or have featured fastpass in the past please let me know i want to try and get ones even from like the Haunted Mansion.  Also i added KB's blog to my side links of places to go so definately go check hers out.  If you want yours on the side links just let me know and follow me and il put it up.  Also while we are here Alyssa just got accepted to her CP on Wednesday so congrats to her.  Her blog is also on the side links so check it out people stat...that means soon.

Favorite Attraction in Liberty Square?

The Haunted Mansion

Seriously.....too easy



Really when i think of disney originality and creativity, and the way Walter Elias Disney did things, i think of the haunted mansion.  This ride be it scary to the younger crowd really epitomizes disney in all ways.  The attention to detail, the overall creativity and the just general depth that disney offers with everything.  DO you know how many back stories this attraction has, The Ghost Bride,the hat box ghost, the peppers ghost effect,  the animal graveyard, chess pieces, The Captain, the man with the dog who has the same face as one of the people being chased up a pole by a rhino on Jungle Cruise.  It just is simply amazing.

Favorite Attraction in Fantasyland?

Mickeys Philharmagic



I really had a tough time picking in this land.  It came down to this or Peter Pans Flight and i just feel this attraction is so great that i had to pick it.  The sites, the smells and where else do you get to see Donald shot into a wall.

Ok so i figured out that i can add pages to my blog so instead of putting all my list on Google Docs im just going to add them as pages and update them accordingly.

I really cant wait to get to Florida now last Friday as you might know there was a blizzard (damn Articuno) and we had school cancelled, well then on Sunday night there was a Thunderstorm.......yes you read that right WTF OHIO.  I cannot wait to leave also im have very very very very bad senioritis which dont help.  I haven't been to the WORLD since last August which for me is a very long time.  pry longest since senior year in high school (6 years) so i have major Disney withdraw.  Also please feel free to post comments on here just keep everything very Disney like, i really want any feedback that you have so let me know if there is something specific you would like to see or if you know how to increase the number of people who see my blog please let me know.

Ya i know now a days its not really the city of tomorrow but still i mean ITS AWESOME.  With the exception of Stitches great escape it has great attractions.  Ya it could pry use one more big attraction but hey thats for tomorrow not today.  Second was liberty square and third was a tie between frontierland/adventureland.

On a side note i got the list of my 50 characters done last night.  It is saved on Google Docs so you can see when i update it.  I will be putting the bucket list on there and also a list of Fastpasses im collecting on Google Docs so you can view those too.

I really think i am one of the few people who really love this park.  For me it has everything from tower of terror and rock n roller coaster to Toy Story Midway Mania to Character Drawing.  It also has a lot of Character to get your pictures with which is nice and to top it all off my FAVORITE THING..............THE MUPPET'S!!!!!!

First Post

Alright first post and where to begin.  First off im making this to kinda follow me through my disney internship, which i start May 23rd.  I know its soon but i gotta start somewhere.  So i applied for the CP(college program) January 19th and had my phone interview 2 days later on the 21st.  Apparently it went well i was accepted as a merchandise cast member on February 9th almost 3 weeks later, those 3 weeks sucked horribly in case you were wondering,.  Awesome........So i decided to start this and here i am a kid about to graduate college and move 1000 miles away to a state that will probably be under water in 50 years. ....FUN

Alright since i got the first one almost out of the way il give a little future hints at whats to come people.  Soon, pry within the next few days il put up my WDWCP Bucketlist of this i HAVE to do before im done with the CP.  Only problem is if you know me i have been to disney alot (30+ times) so this list is gonna be kind of difficult to come up with.  Well thats it for now See ya real soon everybody!!!!!!!
